Mori Art Museum Disaster Relief Charity Talk Session: "Designing Japan for Tomorrow"

Japan’s society has faced unprecedented challenges ever since the Great East Japan Earthquake struck northeastern Honshu on March 11 this year, and people in all fields of endeavor continue to seek ways to move toward recovery.
The Mori Art Museum has also been giving thought to what can be done. Soon after the earthquake and tsunami, we brought together artists, activists, and IT industry figures in “Art for Life,” a program held on March 26 to support disaster victims. With the cooperation of artists active on the global stage, we also held the Great East Japan Earthquake Charity Art Sale on April 16-17.
This talk session is the third event in this series of charity programs. People currently active in such fields as art, design, and architecture in the recovery and restoration efforts will take part, delivering messages on the specific and practical steps they are taking, the results and effectiveness of those steps, and the issues to be tackled from here on out.
100% of the admission fees and donations collected at the venue will be donated to relief efforts. It is Mori Art Museum’s fervent hope that with input from the spheres of culture and art, these efforts to support Japan’s recovery will gain further momentum.
